Mrs. Fawn Harris’ and Mrs. Jamie Schroeder’s kindergarten class at Abraham Lincoln Elementary have been studying plants.  As part of their scientific observation process, the class planted an Amaryllis bulb.  Each day the children measured the fast-growing plant.  Their plant grew a total of 73 centimeters in just 3 weeks!  The class also started their own bean seeds in a “Green Hut” (miniature greenhouse).  The children have been recording their observations on journal pages through drawings and writing.
