Second graders at Rosa Parks-Edison Elementary School have been studying bees!  They read a nonfiction story about bees as well as an article from Purdue University on the importance of limiting bee exposure to pesticides.  To culminate their study, a local bee keeper visited the children.  She shared some stories of her experiences with bees and brought her special gear to show the students.  Everyone tasted honey and agreed that the work the bees are doing in the world is pretty important!
