Second graders in Mrs. Melinda Williams’ classroom at Abraham Lincoln Elementary School are following the scientific method to complete experiments and record their observations.

In the photos:  Students collect data to see if the height of a ramp will change the distance a car moves. A student records her observations on a self-made chart.  A group of students observe their experiment to see if carbon dioxide created with baking soda and vinegar can blow up a balloon.

Students will share this data in a written report which will include a copy of their charts, critical questions and their findings.
