Mrs. Dever’s 7th and 8th grade students did a unit on Domestic Engineering. They asked a representative from Beck’s Service Center to visit their class. He gave  the students a hands-on demonstration in how to check the oil levels in a car, jump start a battery, and change a tire. This lesson is just one of the life skills that students are learning in this semester elective. They have also learned cooking and sewing skills, etiquette and table manners, and how to tie a tie.
