Students in Mrs. Wessel’s Language Arts class at Perry Meridian Sixth Grade Academy presented group skits based on their work in class.  Students read “True Story of the Three Little Pigs.”  Following that, students were given the following options

• to write a talk show script
• a trial transcript
• plan for an attorney in a case in which they were representing the wolf or the pigs
• re-writing another fairy tale from a different character’s point of view

Students were expected to gather information, analyze varying characters’ points of view and then synthesize that information into a new format.  It was both beneficial and exciting for students to take something they already were familiar with and turn it into something entertaining and new!
