A new club has started at Perry Meridian 6th Grade Academy: Together We Can! Its members are excited about making a difference. Sixth graders, Jordan Buttz and Allie McKay, came up with the idea to start a service-oriented club. They recruited PMA staff members Christy Vance, Angela Mullis and JJ Tidd to sponsor the group. After brainstorming a list of ways that the club can make a difference and give back each month, they decided to join the Pinwheels for Peace project. Pinwheels for Peace is a national art installation project geared towards expressing and displaying our thoughts on peace. The pinwheels created by students will be put on display outside the school in honor of the International Day of Peace on September 21st. If you’d like to add a pinwheel to PMA’s display, you can find directions at http://www.pinwheelsforpeace.com/ or contact Christy Vance at cvance@nullperryschools.org
