October is National Bullying Prevention Month.  Southport High participated in Unity Day, a day for anti-bullying, even the SHS rock was painted orange.  All staff and students wore orange and received a pledge card that read:  “I pledge to help stop bullying by reaching out to those who are bullied, speaking up when I see bullying, and being a friend to those in need.  We are Southport.  We are cardinals.  We are United.”
