Walter England, SHS Cardinal, was awarded the Mel Young Scholarship at the Boys Volleyball State Championship.  This award is given to one player in Indiana each year and is given to the male volleyball player who has demonstrated a love for the game of volleyball and a financial need for assistance to attend a summer camp. The recipient of this award will attend a Ball State University summer boys volleyball camp for free. Coach Young played for SHS in the 1960′s.
