What a special day at Southport Academy! Two hundred sixty students were honored for various outstanding efforts and achievements.

Also, sixth grader Devi Canseco Lopez received the Carolynn Weiss Spell Bowl Award from Homecroft Elementary.  She earned $1,000 that will be placed into a college savings account.

School leaders also honored two former students with scholarships. Daniel Vidal and Austin McNeil – both Southport High seniors – were awarded $200 and $500, respectively, from the Southport Academy Teaches Fund.
