Congratulations to Southport Elementary School Principal Jeff Spencer, our 2020 District Administrator of the Year!

Mr. Spencer started his career with Perry Township Schools at Southport Elementary school in 2017.  Mr. Spencer has always been a champion for his school, his teachers, and his students.

His unique melding of personal and professional qualities has led Southport Elementary to significant levels of academic achievement. Mr. Spencer was nominated by many of his colleagues for his ability to lead by example, his constant transparency, and his uncompromising quest for quality education for all his students.

As the Principal of an IDOE STEM Certified School, Mr. Spencer is passionate about Project Lead the Way and Project Based Learning (PBL) to help foster a love of learning and create innovative, rigorous education opportunities to prepare students for their future. Mr. Spencer is always looking for ways he can learn from others, reassess workshops, and improve upon daily lessons to meet the needs of his students.
