Class of 2020 End-of-Year Celebrations (Information and Timeline)
May 15th: Senior Pick-Up Day 8:00-12:00 and 2:00-6:00
All families will enter PMHS from Rahke Road and drive around to the front of the school to the following stations.
Please put the last name of your senior in the front window.
Station 1: Locker Item Pick Up
Station 2: Any items that are school-owned should be returned: books, uniforms, etc. (If you need them for the last week of classes, a final drop off will be May 26. See below.)
Station 3: Graduation cap/gown/tassel pick up

If you are still in need of a cap/gown, please see a Herff Jones representative on May 15 during the Senior Day pick-up. The approximate cost will be $42.

May 16th: National Celebration – Class of 2020
(This is not affiliated with PMHS but a national movement. We are just sharing this information with you; there is no requirement to participate.)
May 18th: Last day of instruction for seniors
May 21st – Virtual Commencement 7:00 pm
A link will be sent out the afternoon of May 21. This can be shared with any family members and friends. This will follow the same order as the original commencement ceremony. Each graduate will be recognized with a slide of his/her senior photograph, and each name will be read. Have a watch party with your family, dress in your cap/gown, and celebrate this wonderful accomplishment! There will be no gathering at the school during this time.
May 23rd – Class of 2020 Celebration- Awarding of Diploma 8:00 am- 6:00 pm
*ONE CAR PER GRADUATE*
Families will be asked to enter the Perry 6th Grade Academy parking lot off of 135. Traffic will exit out of PMMS by going right on Meridian School Road, Left on Rahke Road and will enter the PMHS school property from Rahke (by the baseball field). The cars will be directed around the parking lot and exit at the light by the northeast corner of the student parking lot. You will be given a time window based on the student’s last name.
A’s will start at 8:00. See attached map. Family members must remain in their car at all times.
Station 1: As your car is making its way to the stage, your graduates will return their Chromebooks and any additional school items.
Station 2: Graduate gets out of the car and walks across the stage. Mr. Boedicker/Mrs. Brewer will be on stage to greet each graduate, and a professional photographer will be taking pictures. Family must stay in the car.
Station 3: After walking off the stage, the graduate will walk along the tennis courts to station 3 where they will return their graduation gown. You get to keep your cap and tassel.
Station 4: Graduates will walk to the last station and pick up their diploma and two copies of the graduation program before returning to their car and exiting the parking lot.
May 26th: Final Diploma Pick Up 11:00-12:00
Not interested in all the fanfare on May 23rd, then just stop by the school on May 26th in front of the school to pick up your diploma.
This will also be the last day students (any grade level) can return any school-owned items (Chromebooks, uniforms, books, etc.) and this is also a scheduled food distribution day for the district.
Details of Car Procession:
Remember, enter off 135 and pull in the Perry 6th Grade Academy Parking Lot based on your time window listed below.
You will be directed by a police officer at this time with more instructions.
Please realize there will be approximately 50-60 students per time slot and there will be some waiting. It is imperative that you arrive during your appointed window time.
