S.H.A.R.E. Event
(Students & Staff Helping to Acquire Resources for Everyone)
Our goal is to support families in need across Perry Township during back to school time, which can be very financially demanding. Perry Township Schools and our community partners provide students with many of the supplies and services they need for an outstanding start to the school year at our S.H.A.R.E. Event. The event will be held on Saturday, July 20 from 10:00am-1:00pm at Southport Elementary School (261 Anniston Drive) and we hope to serve 700 students with
- Basic school supplies and backpacks
- Immunizations
- information for activities and services offered by local organizations
- the chance to fill out forms needed for the beginning of the school year (such as free and reduced school lunch applications & registration forms)
Students who have qualified for meal and textbook assistance will be sent an invitation via EventBrite to register for the event early in July.
Connecting with the Community Event
Perry Township Schools, The Kiwanis and other community partners provide families with shoes, socks, hats, gloves and undergarments at our Connecting with The Community Event (formerly Changing Footprints). Contact your school’s social worker to register for this event held on Saturday, November 2, from 9:00am to 1:00pm at Southport Middle School’s cafeteria.
