Education Background (high school and college): I attended high school at Lawrence North. I earned a B.A. in English Lit/Creative Writing and French (Francophone Studies) from DePauw University.

Why did you become a teacher? I had some amazing teachers who inspired me to be a lifelong learner, and I wanted to follow in their footsteps.
What goals do you have for your students? My number one goal for my students is for them to be fearless, so that they aren’t afraid to voice their opinions or make mistakes. That’s how children learn!

Name you favorite band or musician. The Avett Brothers

What is something your students might be surprised to learn about you? I enjoy singing, and I play five musical instruments (alto and tenor saxophones, guitar, bass guitar, and harmonica).

Choose one and explain why: Oscar, Olympic gold or Showcase Showdown. I’d choose an Oscar because to win an Oscar means that you’ve touched the souls of thousands of people and possibly changed lives.
