Morning Drop-Off

Please remember that school starts promptly at 8:10 a.m. Students may not enter the building until 8:00 a.m. when supervision is in place.  A staff member will signal car riders that it is time to enter the building.

Afternoon Pick-Up

SAFETY FIRST:  Please help us to provide the best safety for you and your children. All children not riding the bus home need to be waiting for a ride in the car-rider locations.  We cannot accommodate parents signing students out in the front lobby area at dismissal because the front of the building is also a bus pick-up area.  We understand the time constraint of waiting in the car rider line(s), but safety supersedes convenience.

1. We ask that you remain in the car to pick up your children.  Primary students enter/exit on the west side, and intermediate grade students enter/exit on the east side.  No car riders are ever to be in the back parking lot for any reason.  Cars should not move out of the line and always wait to be directed to move forward by staff when students are clear of the sidewalk.
2. If you need to pick up your child for an appointment, please try to be in and out of the office area 30 minutes before dismissal:  2:55 M, T, Th, F & 2:30 on Wednesday.  When planning, please know that leaving early for any out of school appointments is recorded as a loss of instructional minutes.
3. If someone other than yourself will pick up your child, they must have I.D. to present to staff and be listed as an emergency contact in Skyward.
4. No one should plan to leave early, or from the front office at dismissal after school parties, or any other classroom events.  Our sign out process is not designed to accommodate large numbers; and there are students who must dismiss to buses and day care vans from the front doors.  Please plan to take your student home from the car rider exits.

ANY CHANGES in your student’s routine dismissal plan MUST BE COMMUNICATED IN WRITING, or in an emergency, called into the office PRIOR to 1:00.
