COMING SOON: innovation center

The center has yet to be named, because students will take the lead branding and naming it as part of their immersive learning experience.

Perry Township Schools is proud to be the only district in the state to offer a career-connected learning experience on a college campus. Students from Southport and Perry Meridian High Schools will soon have access to a unique, immersive learning opportunity designed to connect classroom learning with real-world careers—all while experiencing life on a college campus.

This fall, Perry Township Schools will launch a new program hosted at the University of Indianapolis. Students enrolled in the program will be transported to the university, where they will participate in courses ranging from business to other high-demand career fields. Each course will be led by a certified teacher and enhanced by business professionals who will share their expertise and provide real-world insight. Through hands-on, project-based learning, students will tackle authentic challenges, collaborating with both educators and industry experts to develop solutions. This approach gives students a deeper understanding of career pathways while building critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

The program is designed to help students explore their interests, identify their passions, and make more informed decisions about their future before graduation.
