We are excited to welcome our newest Rocket to Rosa Parks Elementary! Meet Mia! Mia has been trained by the ICAN foundation for 2 years and we are so fortunate to be adding her to our family. Since Basil is entering into retirement, we are thankful to our PTA for bringing Mia to our students. Mia is a friendly and well-trained companion who will be available to support students by providing comfort, reducing stress, and encouraging our Rockets to be their best every day. Research has shown that therapy dogs can help improve emotional well-being, boost confidence, and create a calming environment for learning. Whether visiting classrooms, reading with students, playing games, or offering a wagging tail during the day, Mia is sure to bring smiles and make a positive impact throughout our school. Mia will be joining us in late August!
