Fifth grade students and chaperones had a long fun filled day wandering Indiana. They explored Corydon Indiana. Corydon was founded in 1808 and served as the capital of the Indiana Territory from 1813 to 1816. Fifth grade visited the state capital building, governor’s mansion and Zimmerman Glass Factory. Their last activity was exploring Marengo Cave. One of four caves in Indiana that has been amazing visitors since its discovery in 1883. Everyone took a walking tour through the Crystal Palace, panned for gemstones, and twisted and crawled through the cave simulator.
