About Our School
Welcome
Named in honor of a local pioneer woman, Mary Bryan Elementary is committed to growing kids academically, socially, and emotionally. The outstanding educators and staff believe in a “student first” mentality, and work together with families to promote lifelong learning in a caring and diverse environment.
We are thankful to be supported by a generous and involved PTA as well as community partners including, but not limited to, LaScala Villas and Southport Presbyterian Church.
Our students enjoy enrichment activities that allow them to experience music, art, media, language, fitness, leadership, and science not only during the day, but in our before and after school clubs. Students can join the Ukulele Club, Mary Minstrels choir, the morning news show “Pancakes with Pioneers,” and Lego Club, just to name a few. A highlight of fifth grade is being immersed in outdoor education at Camp Allendale. Moreover, our students give back to the community through a yearly food drive to support Hunger, Inc. In addition, we are fortunate to have the high school soccer, lacrosse, softball and baseball teams play on the professional quality fields on our campus.
We believe students thrive in a positive atmosphere. The school day starts with Reading Round Up, a time to promote a love of reading. Our social- emotional committee, utilizing the Second Step program, works to consistently cultivate a positive climate in our building. Additionally, students can visit our sensory room, large freshwater fish tank, and can’t help but smile when petting our facility dog, Romeo.
Mission Statement: Mary Bryan is where kindness, respect, and teamwork thrive. We cherish our differences and collaborate towards shared goals. Our teachers are committed to your success, nurturing your learning journey. With clear expectations, we aim for excellence in all we do. Our school is a warm and encouraging environment, celebrated for respect, inclusivity, and impressive achievements!
