Child Nutrition

Perry Township Schools Child Nutrition Department is committed to providing a variety of nutritious meals at the lowest possible cost to students, parents, and taxpayers. Because nutrition plays a vital role in helping students stay focused and energized throughout the day, we strive to provide quality options to aid our students’ readiness to learn. Breakfast and lunch are served daily for free to all students.

Perry Township Schools Child Nutrition Department, Cafe Express, is dedicated to providing nutritious and affordable meals to all students. In accordance with the criteria set forth in USDA Regulation 7 CFR Part 15b, Perry Township Schools are required to provide reasonable meal modifications, at no extra charge, to students who have a food allergy, medical need, disability or impairment that restricts their diet. A medical statement signed by a health care provider with prescriptive authority is required if the meal accommodation requests are not able to be met with the regularly planned menu items (i.e. gluten free diet). A written parent request will be accepted for a student with a lactose allergy and requires a milk substitute (soy milk substitutions only).

Completed forms will be sent and reviewed by the Assistant Child Nutrition Director.
