SHS has been a Title I high school since the 23-24 school year. Title I is the oldest and largest federally funded program in our nation’s schools. The purpose of Title I in schools is to provide supplemental federal financial assistance to support students achieving below grade-level and to close educational achievement gaps in high-poverty schools.
