MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of the Perry Meridian Sixth Grade Academy School Counseling Program is to empower all students to experience personal success by providing guidance in the areas of academic, career, and citizenship development; counseling to help students overcome social or emotional challenges that interfere with learning; and advocacy for an equitable environment that supports both high achievement and personal development for all students.

VISION STATEMENT

Through a comprehensive school counseling program at Perry Meridian Sixth Grade Academy, we prepare students to become confident individuals, motivated learners, responsible citizens, and productive members of a changing global society.  Students understand both their personal and academic strengths, are able to set goals, and can determine strategies to help them achieve success.  Students understand the power of perseverance and collaboration, and work effectively among peers in the workplace, their social networks and in their broader communities.
