The Southport Cardinals captured the Marion county middle school wrestling championship on Saturday @ Belzer Middle School.  The Cardinals defeated Perry Meridian 49-47 in the championship match.  Besides the county championship, the Cardinals have captured titles @ Columbus, Tri -North, and Paul Hadley this year.

Southport, coached by Dave Walpole Jr., Roy Chan, and Dave Walpole Sr., currently stand 19-0 on the 2023 season.
