CAR RIDER GUIDELINES

The safety of all students is a top priority! Therefore, we ask that you observe our guidelines for car rider pick-up and drop-off.

MORNING DROP-OFF:

Please remember that school starts promptly at 8:0 am, students should arrive between 7:40-8:00 to be on time to their first period class. Due to limited supervision and daily preparations, students MAY NOT enter the building until 7:40am. Students will be directed to wait in the auditorium (SMS) before the release bell at 8:00 am. Please use the 2 lanes closest to the school and wait until cars are stopped between the cones by the administrator before allowing your child to get out of your vehicle to ensure safety at all times. Once stopped ALL students in grades 6-8 in any cars stopped between the cones should exit (even if students are not directly in front of the entrance to their school). All cars in the center lane will need to go south on Keystone Avenue, the far right lane will go north on Keystone Avenue.

AFTERNOON PICK-UP:

Dismissal is at 2:55 pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Early dismissal every Wednesday at 2:30.

All students must be picked up promptly at dismissal. Please stay inside your vehicle in the car rider line and move forward until stopped by school staff and you see your student on the sidewalk. Once children are safely inside, use your left turn signal to let other drivers and our staff know that you are ready to move toward the left lane to exit. No students should be entering or exiting a car the in the far left lane. Please, follow the direction of our staff when signaled to stop for students, buses or cars.
