SPIRIT DAY GUIDELINES:

Students who donate $1 on Spirit Days (see dates below) can choose to participate.

What can I wear if I donate $1?
– Normal dress code bottoms (knee length) with Southport spirit shirts
OR
– Solid (no rips, tears, holes, embellishments, patches, etc) jeans with a Southport spirit shirt or normal dress code polo tops
OR
– Solid sweatpants, athletic pants, or knee length athletic shorts (no leggings, no spandex, no yoga pants) with normal dress code polo tops or Southport spirit shirts

Unacceptable Clothing

  • Any bottoms that do not come to the knee or with the legs rolled
  • Leggings, yoga pants, and anything stretch material
  • Jeans other than navy blue or black (no tie-dyed or camo)
  • Hooded shirts
  • Jerseys (other than a Southport jersey that has sleeves)
  • Elementary or homemade spirit shirts
  • Tops or bottoms with holes, rips, tears, cuts, frays, patches, or inappropriate or excessive designs (beyond pockets)

*If students choose not to wear the appropriate clothing they’ll call home for a change of clothing or work in In-School Suspension for the day.

  • December 4 – S6A Help a Student Fund
  • January 8 – American Heart Association
  • February 5 – Leukemia & Lymphoma Society
  • March 5 – Help a Student Fund
  • April 9– Riley Children’s Hospital
  • May 7 – Help a Student Fund

THEME DAYS – There will be 3 special event days this year:

  • Late August – PTO sponsored Southport Sprint
  • February around Valentine’s Day – Glow Lunch
  • mid-to-late May – S6A Color Blast (date always adjusted pending weather)
