Students who donate $1 on the first Friday of the Month (see dates below) can choose to participate in our Spirit Days.

See the guidelines listed below that outline our Spirit Day dress expectations. Students who choose not to donate $1.00 will need to be in regular dress code.

Jeans/Jean Shorts MUST:
-be solid navy blue or black
-contain NO holes, rips, tears, frays, or patches
-be at least near the knee or longer

Sweatpants/Athletic Shorts MUST:
-be at least near the knee or longer
-NOT be spandex-like, bike shorts, or leggings
-NOT be pajama pants

Spirit Shirts MUST:
-contain sleeves
-NOT have a hood
-NOT be “homemade”
-be in support of Southport/Southport Cardinals (jerseys are fine)

*If students choose not to wear the appropriate clothing they’ll call home for a change of clothing or work in In-School Suspension for the day.

2026-27 SPIRIT DAYS:

  • August 7 – Waycross
  • September 4 – Ovarian Cancer Research
  • October 2 – Breast Cancer Research
  • November 6 – Hunger Inc. (DONATE A NON-PERISHABLE FOOD ITEM -OR- $1+ TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS SPIRIT DAY)
  • December 4 – S6A Help a Student Fund
  • January 8 – American Heart Association
  • February 5 – Leukemia & Lymphoma Society
  • March 5 – Little Red Door
  • April 9– Riley Children’s Hospital
  • May 7 – Help a Student Fund

THEME DAYS:

There will be 3 special event days this year:

  • Late August – PTO sponsored Southport Sprint
  • February around Valentine’s Day – Glow Lunch
  • mid-to-late May – S6A Color Blast (date always adjusted pending weather)
