Southport Academy’s general supply list can be accessed through the parent or student links on our school website. The general supply list may not include items needed for Art, World Cultures, or special request items by individual teachers. Lists for these items will be made available on the first day of school.
New to Perry Township enrollments are by appointment only. Please call 317-789-1462 to get started.
The school day begins at 8:00 AM and ends at 2:55 PM on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. The school day begins at 8:00 AM and ends at 2:30 PM on Wednesday.
School pictures will be taken during Orientation each July AND then again during student lunches one date within the first few weeks of school for any student who did not attend Orientation. Additionally, S6A offers Team/Club/Extracurricular pictures taken each February and professional Spring pictures each April.
Student ID numbers are the same as the student had in Elementary school.
Payments can be made online using your child’s student pin number on the Perry Township Parent Center website; or you can send cash or check with your child to school.

Student report cards need to be accessed through Skyward Portfolio. If a paper report card is requested, you will need to go to the Family Access tab in Skyward to request a paper report card.
Grades can be accessed online via Skyward; additionally, Canvas can be used to keep up with your student’s classes daily.
GETTING STARTED WITH SKYWARD:
The Skyward Parent Portal is already set up for all parents with their email addresses on file. NOTE: If you have never been into Skyward and have not provided an email address, contact your child’s school.
First Time Login:
- Visit our Skyward Parent Portal and click Forgot your Login/Password
- Enter your email address on file with the school
- You will receive an email with your login information.
- Change your password to something you will remember.
GETTING STARTED WITH CANVAS:
Why become a Canvas Observer? To view your student’s daily classes; to keep up with the day-to-day agendas that teachers put in their courses; to set up and receive notifications for when things are completed, graded, late, etc.
How to become a Canvas Observer?
- Have your student(s) log in to their Canvas Student account on their Chromebook.
- Go to their Settings where you will find a “Pair with Observer” button on the right side.
- Create yourself a Parent Canvas account and use the Pairing Code to connect.
