We have been dealing with a shortage of bus drivers which has hampered our ability to transport students to and from school in a timely manner. We are undergoing an Elementary School Boundary Study to determine the impact of redrawing elementary school attendance boundaries on the number of routes necessary to transport our students.
We are examining data on three proposed models. We will examine the impact of the data on building capacity, the number of students impacted, and the number of bus routes that would be saved. This data will help us determine the impact these models will have on our transportation issues and help us make an informed decision. Any decision that may be made would not impact schools until the 2023-24 school year. For more information on the bus driver shortage and the proposed models, see the presentation below.
